Transparent Pricing for Independent Medical Opinions and DBQs
Our goal is to provide clear, evidence-based medical opinions for veterans pursuing disability benefits.
Pricing depends on the number of medical conditions being evaluated and the complexity and volume of the medical record.
Most veterans pay between $1,000 and $1,500 for a nexus opinion.
What Is Included With Your Evaluation:
- Video evaluation
-
A one-on-one telehealth consultation to review your symptoms, service history, and medical records.
Comparable medical evaluations often cost around $500 when billed separately.
- Disability Benefits Questionnaire
-
Completion of the appropriate VA DBQ when medically appropriate to document the severity and functional impact of
your condition. Standalone DBQ services are often valued around $500.
- Detailed IMO
-
A comprehensive medical nexus opinion explaining whether your condition is “at least as likely as not”
related to military service or another service-connected condition. Independent medical opinions of
this type commonly cost $500 or more.
- Followup Q&A after the evaluation.
-
If you have questions after your evaluation or after receiving your opinion, you may reach out for clarification.
Follow-up consultations like this are often billed separately by many providers.
- Free Rebuttal if Your Claim Is Denied
-
If the VA denies your claim and the decision letter indicates clarification may help,
we will review the decision and provide a rebuttal or clarification to the IMO or DBQ originally
prepared by us at no additional cost. Many providers charge additional fees for
rebuttals.
